Golden Ridge

Golden Ridge is quarried from a bedrock quarry in the northern regions of Espirito Santo, Brazil and is considered a pegmatite granite. Pegmatite implies that the granite is composed of quartz, feldspar and mica in a coarse-grained igneous rock. A characteristic that will be apparent in some slabs is corundum, which is a form of aluminum oxide and in its transparent ruby red state is classified as a gem.
